As we approach the halfway point of the school year, I wish to underscore the significance of our focus on Respect (Respect), Responsibility (Responsabilité), and Success (Succès) as essential behaviours for learning. Upholding these values is critical in fostering a positive school community where every individual feels safe, engaged, and empowered to reach their full potential.
Positive Behaviour for Learning (PBL) is a framework we use to help build a safe and supportive learning environment. It improves social, emotional, behavioural, and academic outcomes for our students. When used effectively, it allows teachers and students to focus more on building relationships and teaching, resulting in fewer behaviour issues and better wellbeing.
- Reduced inappropriate behaviour
- Increased time focused on instruction
- Improved social-emotional wellbeing
- Positive and respectful relationships among students and staff
- Support for teachers to teach, model, and respond effectively to student needs
- A predictable learning environment where staff and students know what is expected, allowing for effective practices that can be sustained over time.
We take great pride in recognising our students' achievements in these areas. Our Respect, Responsibility, and Success certificates, along with the Principal's Awards, serve to honour the dedication and effort our students demonstrate each day. These celebrations not only inspire our students but also reinforce the core values we uphold as a community.
Here is a gallery of students who have achieved six certificates to earn their book award last week. Congratulations and well done!

By committing to these principles, we enhance our students' experiences and strengthen our sense of belonging. Together, we can cultivate an environment where every student has the opportunity to thrive academically and personally.
Congratulations and thanks to everyone in our school community who supports this approach.
Warm regards,
Gillian Tegg

Lessons are underway for this year's Springfest concert and the students have been working with enthusiasm to develop and create their dance. The concerts will be held at the end of Term 3.
Please note night of your child/ren Springfest Performance. It is expected that your child/ren will perform in this concert.
Details regarding the night's procedure, along with ticketing information for parents, will be provided in Term 3.
Please let me, Ms Willow, or the office know if your child/ren cannot attend so we can accommodate this in the performance and costuming.

Any families who have a child performing on each of the 3 nights will be compensated with VIP tickets to at least one of the performances.
Thank you for your continued support in the Creative Arts.

Purchasing Long-Handled Skipping Ropes
The increase of interest in the sport has sparked many students to enquire about where they can purchase their own long-handled ropes. Long-handled ropes are not only adjustable, but also sturdier, lighter, and therefore broaden the range of skills students can achieve.
-
shop -> freestyle rope ($20) -> 2.4m -> select handle colours -> add to cart ($8 shipping)

Thank you to everyone who made the effort to pack plastic free lunches on Thursday in recognition of World Environment Day. We encourage you to continue making environmentally friendly lunchbox choices. Teachers will be looking to give voilas to students who continue to bring plastic free lunches.
